Heavy duty stays?keep the bags mouth wide open and easy to get in and reach the Featherweight.? It can also be used as a small overnight bag when traveling.? Requires pre-quilting fabric and bosal interfacing.? The first class on Wednesday will be discussing fabric selection?and cutting instructions.? Friday's session will be dedicated to quilting and Saturday assembly of the tote.

Block of the Month sponsored by Kim Miks of Tucker University. 12-month program with monthly meetings starting January 21, 2023. A technique building quilt with design options to learn how to use the Studio 180 Tools.

Cost: $ FREE
Come learn how to sew a quilt together using 10" squares. You will complete the quilt top using basic quilting techniques to sew the squares together with an outer border. This class does not include instruction on how to finish the quilt but options will be discussed. This class is open to students who are at least 10 years old AND have completed at least 1 class at HSQ. OR have sewing experience and are accepted after speaking to the instructor. Class will be each Monday starting January 8 from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. There will be a total of 6 classes.

Cost: $ 120.00

This is the class you want to get started. Learn how to use the tools, and you will be taught the techniques and skills to get the job done correctly. A great refresher class as well, if it's been a while. You will learn 8 basic blocks, plus inner and outer borders and the cutting and sewing techniques required to assemble a quilt.

This crazy-piecing technique if a fun way to use assorted fabrics. Pattern has directions to make wall, throw or twin size quilt.

This is the third in a monthly series of making a different bag/tote each month starting in January, 2024. The classes will be held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 10:00 - 4:00 p.m. Great all around bag as it folds small to put in a suitcase and then can be stuffed full of goodies.

We have a "EPP Sit & Sew Group" that meets each 3rd Thursday of each month from 1:00 - 4:00 led by Elizabeth Frey-Thomas. Whether you are curious what EPP is all about, want to start a project or learn new patterns using various EPP methods, you are welcome to stop in. No pre-registration necessary and no cost to attend.

The follow up class to the beginning class. Learn about battings, how to make your "sandwich" of quilt top, batting and backing. Pinning, quilting, trimming and binding are also covered. The quilt top to be done is the one from the beginning quilting class.

This group shares stories on how they obtained their Featherweight machine(s) and will be planning work sessions for sewing projects. All meetings will be held on the 4th Tuesday of each month. If you are interested in joining or want more information on Singer Featherweight machines, come to High Sierra Quilters and join them. You don't have to sign up prior to the monthly meetings and there is no cost to attend.

The classes will be held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 10:00 - 4:00 p.m. This is a fun tote bag in two different sizes with 11+ pockets. Dress it up with some fun buttons and fabrics.

Learn Rita Traxler's method for making a great T-shirt quilt. This is a 2-session class. She will show you how to cut your shirts using various templates and how to use a steam presser to adhere your interfacing to your shirts.
