This is the class you want to get started. Learn how to use the tools, and you will be taught the techniques and skills to get the job done correctly. A great refresher class as well, if it's been a while. You will learn 8 basic blocks, plus inner and outer borders and the cutting and sewing techniques required to assemble a quilt.
This class is intended for those who have never taken this class! The Boxy Tote is perfect for toting the wonderful Singer Featherweight Pockets all the way around on the outside, pockets all the way around on the inside!? Heavy duty stays keep the bags mouth wide open and easy to get in and reach the Featherweight. It can also be used as a small overnight bag when traveling. Requires pre-quilting fabric and bosal interfacing. The first class will be discussing fabric selection and cutting instructions. Thursday's session will be dedicated to quilting and Friday assembly of the tote.

First kit distribution will be Saturday September 21 with sewing sessions on Saturday, October 12, November 9 & December 14. There are kits in 2 different color ways for you to choose from! The 2-day class is for individuals that have already taken a Boxy Tote Class and will have all fabrics & foam cut, fused, zipper tabs and straps prepped prior to Day 1. We will only quilt and assemble your bag in this 2 day class.

2 -day class to make this fun bag with lots of possibilities for taking crafts on the go. Lots of different compartments for ease in organization of items. Pattern is provided by the instructor with a supply kit ($15) that includes foam, interfacing, magnetic snaps, mesh fabric, fold-over elastic and vinyl. Assortment of zippers and "fancy" pulls are available for optional purchase. Kit and additional items purchased direct from instructor.

The follow up class to the beginning class. Learn about battings, how to make your "sandwich" of quilt top, batting and backing. Pinning, quilting, trimming and binding are also covered. The quilt top to be done is the one from the beginning quilting class.

Kit is available for additional $48.00 and includes fabric for background, snow globes, embellishments & paper piece paper & pattern. You bring fabric scraps (and some will be provided) for the Santa, snowman and tree.
