The follow up class to the beginning class. Learn about battings, how to make your "sandwich" of quilt top, batting and backing. Pinning, quilting, trimming and binding are also covered. The quilt top to be done is the one from the beginning quilting class.

This is the class you want to get started. Learn how to use the tools, and you will be taught the techniques and skills to get the job done correctly. A great refresher class as well, if it's been a while. You will learn 8 basic blocks, plus inner and outer borders and the cutting and sewing techniques required to assemble a quilt.

Do you want to learn to sew? Learn how to use your machine? This is the class for you. It is a 3 session class where you learn the basics of sewing and you will make a project each week! The projects are a draw string bag, pillowcase, and an apron. When you finish this series of classes, we may also offer Level 2 School of Sewing with more sewing projects. This class is for individuals who are 16 years and older. A sample of each project is available to view in the store classroom area.

Come learn how to transform a book into art! It's one of those crafts that looks much harder than it actually is. We will be doing this fun vase of flowers and Nicole Lopez will teach you how to turn this into a great gift for someone special--or to just keep for yourself. Book and other supplies provided.

This class is intended for those who have never taken this class! The Boxy Tote is perfect for toting the wonderful Singer Featherweight Pockets all the way around on the outside, pockets all the way around on the inside!? Heavy duty stays keep the bags mouth wide open and easy to get in and reach the Featherweight. It can also be used as a small overnight bag when traveling. Requires pre-quilting fabric and bosal interfacing. The first class will be discussing fabric selection and cutting instructions. Thursday's session will be dedicated to quilting and Friday assembly of the tote.

Want to learn the basics on machine quilting? Not all of it has to be done on a long arm machine. Suzie shows you how to accomplish wonderful results on your home machine. It's a great class to learn the basics and get off and running on your own quilting.

A paper craft technique created for material projects, including quilt blocks, table runners, framed wall art and pillows. Using this technique, you will learn how to complete this "iris" block. 1 block will be completed in class. Cory will show you other versions of the block that you can make.

This is a modern take on the Japanese Komebukuro, a traditional pouch used in Japan to carry rice offerings to the temple during religious ceremonies. The bag is made with scraps of fabrics with lining and optional embellishments with embroidery stitching or trapunto quilting.

A fun, hands-on maintenance class for your Singer Featherweight machine provided by Twice Nice Sewing Machine Restorations from Antioch, CA.. You will learn to oil and lubricate your machine, change and adjust your belt, set the bobbin tension, clear thread jams and other problem solving techniques. You will receive a folder to take home that includes color photos of all the machine oil and lubrication points. You must bring your machine and power cord.
