Kids Camp 3 - 5-Day

This camp is for kids/adults ages 10 years and older wanting to learn how to sew. Students will meet daily from 9:30 - 12:30. Sewing machines and some fabric will be provided. Projects include Snap Bag, Quilted Caddy, Tisket-Tasket Basket, Thread Catcher & Jewelry Pouch.

Classes


This is the class you want to get started. Learn how to use the tools, and you will be taught the techniques and skills to get the job done correctly. A great refresher class as well, if it's been a while. You will learn 8 basic blocks, plus inner and outer borders and the cutting and sewing techniques required to assemble a quilt.

This class is intended for those who have never taken this class! The Boxy Tote is perfect for toting the wonderful Singer Featherweight Pockets all the way around on the outside, pockets all the way around on the inside!? Heavy duty stays keep the bags mouth wide open and easy to get in and reach the Featherweight. It can also be used as a small overnight bag when traveling. Requires pre-quilting fabric and bosal interfacing. The first class will be discussing fabric selection and cutting instructions. Thursday's session will be dedicated to quilting and Friday assembly of the tote.

The follow up class to the beginning class. Learn about battings, how to make your "sandwich" of quilt top, batting and backing. Pinning, quilting, trimming and binding are also covered. The quilt top to be done is the one from the beginning quilting class.

Using one large-scale print, make a stunning quilt with hexagons cut from 6 repeats of the fabric. You will learn the pinning and cutting technique and how to put the strip rows together.

Learn how to "Tuckerize" this quit by Laundry Basket Quilts. It is a 2 part class held on 2 Saturdays.

By combining two contrasting fabrics, you will create triangles tumbling down the quilt. Using Studio 180 Design V Block tool, this quilt is fun and quick!
